Integrated Construction & Civil Engineering Solutions
PAEC Engineering Limited provides integrated construction and civil engineering services for residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and infrastructure-related projects in South Sudan. Our capabilities cover the principal civil and construction activities required to move projects from site preparation and structural works through building construction, external works, rehabilitation and final handover.
Every assignment is approached according to its actual site conditions, technical requirements, intended use, available resources, budget and delivery programme. We combine engineering judgement, practical construction planning, coordinated procurement, site supervision and quality control to provide solutions that are realistic to execute and appropriate to the conditions in which the completed project must operate.
PAEC can support clients on standalone civil works as well as broader projects requiring multiple capabilities such as structural construction, earthworks, drainage, building works, site infrastructure, materials coordination and construction management.
Our objective is to deliver technically sound work through disciplined planning, responsible execution and clear accountability from mobilisation through completion and handover.
From foundations and structural works to completed buildings and supporting civil infrastructure, PAEC manages construction as one coordinated delivery process.
Our Approach
Every construction assignment begins with a clear understanding of what the client needs to build, the purpose of the project and the conditions under which the works must be delivered.
PAEC first considers the approved or proposed scope, site conditions, access, terrain, existing infrastructure, drawings and specifications, budget expectations, programme requirements and any practical constraints that may influence construction.
From this assessment, the project is translated into an execution plan covering site preparation, construction methodology, labour, materials, equipment, procurement, mobilisation, supervision, safety, quality control and sequencing of works.
Particular attention is given to activities that influence the reliability of later construction stages. These include foundations, earthworks, structural elements, drainage, levels, material quality and coordination between the different trades involved on site.
During execution, progress and workmanship are monitored against the agreed project requirements. Technical issues, site conditions and changes are coordinated as they arise, while the client is kept informed about progress and matters requiring decisions.
As the project approaches completion, outstanding works are identified and addressed before inspection, close-out and formal handover.
Our Construction & Civil Engineering Scope
PAEC’s construction and civil engineering capability covers the principal work packages required to develop, improve and rehabilitate buildings, sites and supporting infrastructure. The exact scope is tailored to the project, but our core construction activities include the following areas.
1. Building Construction
PAEC undertakes residential, commercial, institutional and other building works through a structured construction process covering mobilisation, site establishment, foundations, structural works, walling, roofing, finishes, external works and final completion.
Construction activities are coordinated against the approved drawings, specifications, programme and project requirements, with attention to workmanship, material quality, sequencing and communication between the various trades involved.
Depending on the assignment, PAEC may undertake complete building delivery or selected packages of work within a larger development.
Our objective is to ensure that the completed building is not only visually complete but structurally sound, functional and properly coordinated with its supporting infrastructure.
2. Structural Concrete & Steel Works
PAEC supports reinforced-concrete and structural-steel works forming the primary structural framework of buildings and civil-engineering projects.
Concrete works may include foundations, footings, ground beams, columns, suspended slabs, beams, staircases, retaining elements and other reinforced-concrete components required by the project design.
Structural activities require careful coordination of setting out, reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, concrete placement, curing and inspection before subsequent works proceed.
Where structural steel is required, PAEC supports the coordination, erection and installation of steel members and associated structural components according to the relevant project requirements.
Particular attention is given to the accuracy and quality of structural works because defects at this stage can affect many later construction activities.
3. Earthworks, Excavation & Site Preparation
Civil construction begins with establishing suitable site conditions for the works that follow. PAEC undertakes site clearing, excavation, cut-and-fill operations, grading, levelling, trenching, backfilling, compaction and general ground preparation.
Earthworks are planned according to proposed building levels, drainage requirements, site access, existing terrain and the physical requirements of foundations or external infrastructure.
Unsuitable material, soft areas or difficult ground conditions identified during excavation are reviewed so that the appropriate technical response can be determined before construction proceeds.
Proper site preparation creates the foundation for reliable structural, drainage and external works.
4. Drainage & Stormwater Management
PAEC undertakes drainage and stormwater works required to protect buildings, sites and surrounding infrastructure from uncontrolled surface water.
Depending on the project, works may include surface drains, channels, culverts, catch pits, manholes, stormwater routes, erosion-control measures and associated excavation or concrete works.
Drainage is considered in relation to site levels, building platforms, access roads, surrounding terrain and available discharge routes.
We place particular emphasis on addressing drainage early because poor water management can undermine foundations, damage access routes, create erosion and reduce the long-term performance of completed infrastructure.
5. Rehabilitation, Renovation & Fit-Out Works
PAEC supports the rehabilitation and improvement of existing buildings and infrastructure where clients require repairs, upgrades, alterations or conversion of existing spaces.
Rehabilitation may involve structural repairs, masonry works, roofing, ceilings, floors, finishes, doors and windows, drainage improvements, concrete repairs and other corrective construction activities.
Renovation and fit-out works may also include reconfiguration of internal spaces, replacement of deteriorated finishes and preparation of buildings for renewed commercial, residential, institutional or operational use.
Before major rehabilitation begins, existing conditions are reviewed so that the required works respond to the actual defects and intended future use of the property.
6. External Works & Site Infrastructure
PAEC undertakes supporting works around buildings and developed sites, including access areas, walkways, drainage, grading, parking areas, hardstanding, boundary-related works and other external civil infrastructure. These activities are coordinated with the main construction works so that finished levels, access, drainage and site functionality work together as one completed development.
7. Construction Supervision & Site Management
PAEC provides site coordination and supervision to help ensure that labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors and construction activities remain aligned with the project requirements.Site management includes coordination of daily activities, sequencing of trades, monitoring progress, addressing technical issues, maintaining project communication and supporting quality and safety requirements. The objective is to maintain greater control over execution from mobilisation through final completion.
Detailed Construction & Civil Engineering Scope
PAEC Engineering Limited provides construction and civil engineering support across a wide range of project types, from building works and structural construction to earthworks, drainage, rehabilitation and external infrastructure. Our scope is adapted to the technical requirements, site conditions, available resources and delivery objectives of each assignment. Depending on the project, PAEC may support either complete construction delivery or specific civil-work packages within a larger development.
